I love you...

I know I haven't blogged in well over 6 months... but I had THE most amazing experience a couple nights ago and I want to "put on paper" so I never forget it.

Kalyn and I were on the couch watching X Factor and she was dancing while the contestants sang. After one of the performances we both clapped... after we clapped she walked over to me, laid her head on my shoulder and said "I love you momma" I have been wanting this moment to happen so badly... for her to tell me she loved me without me saying it first and when I got it I immediately started crying. This is how the conversation went...

Me (crying): "I love you too baby girl"

Kalyn : "Momma crying"

Me: "Yeah, mommas crying... but I'm crying because I'm happy"

Kalyn: "Momma crying happy"

Me: "Yup mommas happy"

Kalyn: "I happy too momma, I happy"

Followed by lots of hugs and kisses and Kalyn pretend crying like momma was. My heart melted as soon as those words were said and I think it has changed me forever... 3 simple words I LOVE YOU... I never knew they could mean so much.

As much as I would love to post a current picture, I haven't loaded any in awhile - instead you get one from the 4th of July cause I like it... enjoy!

18 months

Oops... I guess its been awhile, I blame it entirely on my Droid. We got them in October and it's basically the only "computer" I use anymore. It's just so convienant. I've tried blogging from my phone, but for some reason I cant.

So here I am finally on the laptop and ready to go.

I wont focus on all the months that I've missed.

Soo... Kalyn is 18 months old now. 18 months came with lots of excitment. The last weekend in March she went to nursery for the 1st time (we helped there a month and half ago, but I was there too) So this time she was all by herself. I knew she would be fine and she was. After sacrament she walked down the hall by herself, went to nursery and started playing. I tried to get a picture but she was busy and wouldnt even look at me. I left and I dont think she even noticed or cared that I was gone!! Needless to say, they said she did great.

We went to the doc last week and got her current stats. 21 lbs, 31 1/4" tall and perfectly healty.

To top off the week Kalyn went pee-pee on the potty! I was so excited, but in the back of mind I thought maybe it was a fluke... today she proved me wrong and did it again. I dont want to jinx anything, but I think potty training is going to be a breeze!!!

Other than that life is the same around here... a little hectic at times, but so much fun.
